Drew Hassler is a third-generation Arizonan. He was born and raised in the Arcadia neighborhood and attended schools within the Scottsdale Unified School District (SUSD): Hopi Elementary, Ingleside Middle School, and Arcadia High School.

Born into a baseball family, he continued the tradition and was drafted by the MLB in 1999 after graduation. After an injury ended his minor league career, he returned to Arizona and the Arcadia neighborhood. In 2006, Drew married his wife Chelsea, and they are proud parents of two children, both of whom attend their neighborhood SUSD school. Drew's commitment to the Arcadia neighborhood, where he has lived since childhood, and his role as a local business owner within the SUSD boundary reflects his unwavering dedication to creating the best community possible for all families and residents. 

Drew will bring his hard-working, real-world background and common-sense approach to the SUSD Governing Board. He will ensure parents, employees, and community members have a voice in educational and administrative decisions.
